Diversity, Inclusion and Equity:
The Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation recognizes that firefighters must intimately engage with the communities they serve, in an effort to improve patient care and AFRF support the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department’s effort to create an environment that is diverse, inclusive and equitable for all members.
Tuition Assistance Program:
The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) provides firefighters and civilian members of the Atlanta Fire Rescue, a tuition reimbursement benefit of up to $3,000 per year. Each member must be pursuing a diploma degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Rising Phoenix Leadership Institute:
The RPLI is a year-long leadership development program that prepares future leaders of the department for challenges faced as executive leaders within the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. Applicants come from the ranks of lieutenant, captain and battalion/section chief. Each application must complete all mandatory program days along with an applied research paper to graduate from the program.
